Chicken Ranch Casino Expands Operation
May 10, 2019 (Jamestown, CA) – Operating since 1985, Chicken Ranch Casino has now completed the expansion and renovation of the old Bingo Hall and is now officially open to the public. Phase one of the expansion included the construction of an Event Hall in December of 2018. That facility sits adjacent to the existing Casino and is used for housing Bingo and other events. Phase two, completed Monday May 6th, saw the complete renovation of the old Bingo Hall, which is now home to the newly offered Table Games, 240+ new machines and The Roost café. The Casino will also offer smoke-free gaming for the first time.
To celebrate the endeavor, a ceremonial blessing was held the evening of May 7th and was followed by a private reception for members of the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians who own and operate the Casino. The event was catered by the Casino’s Food & Beverage department and included off-menu creations by executive chef Nigel Thorne who recently joined the team from the Saddle Creek Resort in Copperopolis.
A soft opening of the Casino for Elite and V.I.P. players, also catered by Chef Nigel, was held May 8th before officially launching open to the public later that evening. It was a proud moment for Chicken Ranch Rancheria Tribe and their vision that finally became a reality after years of planning. Tribal Chairman Lloyd Mathiesen was reflective of the Casino’s evolution which has been a long time coming: “Today’s a great day for our people, our community and everyone who’s worked so hard to make this vision a reality.”
Chicken Ranch Casino is privately owned and operated by the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians with over 225 employees from the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada’s Motherlode. The Casino currently offers 603 machines, Table Games, smoke-free gaming, Bingo five nights a week, the Ranch House restaurant and The Roost café bistro.
